The performance marks a significant improvement on his previous season’s best of 10.10 seconds

The race was won by Noah Lyles of the United States in a season’s best 9.88 seconds, while Cameroon’s Emmanuel Eseme finished second in a new national record of 9.94 seconds.

NOAH LYLES TAKES VICTORY IN ROME 100M, TEBOGO FINISHES 3RD

Rome, Italy – American sprint star Noah Lyles produced a dominant performance to win the men’s 100m at the Rome Diamond League, while Botswana’s Letsile Tebogo finished third in a high-quality field.

Lyles, the reigning Olympic 100m champion, showed his class down the home straight to secure first place in a fiercely contested race packed with world-class sprinters.

Tebogo, the Olympic 200m champion, battled strongly but had to settle for third as he continues his transition into elite 100m competition on the global stage.
