Mashatu Reserve, we were treated to an unusual leopard sighting. We located this leopard with two separate kills, both still on the ground—uncommon behaviour, as leopards typically hoist their prey into trees to avoid scavengers.

Later we found her moving from tree and then realised what she had been doing: instead of storing her kills in a single tree, she had hidden portions of them in multiple nearby trees, creating a network of cleverly concealed feeding spots. We watched as she travelled between these trees, retrieving pieces of meat she had cached earlier. Clever kitty !
