Official opening night: Unlocked.

Last Friday was an absolute dream. I am so incredibly grateful to everyone who came out to the Airdrie Public Library to celebrate the opening of "In Plain Sight". Having your friends fill the room and show up for your work is the greatest gift an artist can ask for. Thank you for the hugs, the flowers, and the beautiful conversations!

A huge thank you as well to guest curator Ash Slemming for guiding such an insightful art tour.

Big news! ✨ Five of my works is officially on display as part of the "In Plain Sight" exhibition at the library!
Come join us for a special Art Tour and networking night next week:

Let’s be honest: the "perfect" family photo is usually the one where someone is sticking their tongue out.

Don't get me wrong, I love a gorgeous, everyone-looking-at-the-camera portrait as much as the next person. But the images that actually make us pause, smile, and feel something years down the road? It’s always the ones where the kids are just being themselves.

My absolute favorite part of this job is setting up a beautiful frame and then just letting real life happen inside it. No stiff posing, no forced smiles: just the genuine, chaotic, wonderful energy that makes your family who they are.

If you want photos that actually feel like your real life (silly faces very much welcome), let's hang out and take some pictures!

When planning a family session, my goal is always to capture the authentic heartbeat of your crew. Yes, we want those beautiful portraits, but we also want the laughter, the movement, and the wonderful, unscripted chaos of real life in between.

This recent session by the water was the perfect example. Between the stunning views and just letting the family play and interact naturally, we made memories that will last a lifetime.

I am absolutely thrilled to share a glimpse of the opening night at Dusk Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico! They just sent over these beautiful images from the "BOTANICAL" exhibition, and seeing my work, Fire and Fragility, hanging on those gallery walls miles away fills my heart with immense gratitude.

Every photograph in this path is a conversation between past and present, a delicate dance of found histories, heritage, and memory. To see those quiet, everyday wonders recognized in such a vibrant art community is a beautiful milestone.

This is what a studio session looks like when we actually take the time to get it right.

If the calendar got away from you and you’re realizing you still need real portraits, I have a few spots left before grad. We can shoot in the studio or head out into the Cochrane foothills.

The default senior photo is your kid in a rented gown, in gym lighting, for four minutes.

That ends up being the Christmas card.

If you meant to book real portraits and the calendar got away from you, I have a few sessions open before grad.

Outside, in the studio, around Cochrane, or the foothills.
Their clothes, directed properly so they actually look like themselves.

The version of them standing in your kitchen this June doesn't come back in September.
