🕷️ THE REIGN OF TICK TERROR CONTINUES. 😬

And ever since Geneticks became a North Durham Chamber of Commerce member, we have been absolutely fascinated by what they do.

Because here in North Durham, ticks aren’t exactly a small issue.

We’re surrounded by rural properties, farms, trails, parks, outdoor attractions and businesses where people spend their days outside — which makes having a local tick-testing resource incredibly valuable.

And we are SO lucky to have Geneticks right here in Uxbridge. 🙌

Geneticks tests ticks for a variety of tick-borne pathogens, including the bacteria associated with Lyme disease, with results typically available within just a few days.

That means if you find a tick after a bite, you can get more information about what may have been carried by that tick and use those results as part of a conversation with your healthcare provider about appropriate next steps.

Pretty incredible to have this kind of resource right here in North Durham. 💙

Well… THAT was a THING. 😂☕️🌊

70 people registered for Coffee & Convo at the Lake.

SEVENTY.

There was a time when we would get excited about 15 people coming out to Coffee & Convo… and now we’re standing in Palmer Park looking around thinking:

Where did all these people come from?! 😂

And we freaking LOVE it.

People from all across North Durham.
💙 New businesses
💙 Familiar faces
💙 First-time introductions
💙 Old connections being rekindled
💙 Conversations happening everywhere

All beside beautiful Lake Scugog.

THIS is what networking should feel like.

Not stuffy.
Not awkward.
Not standing in the corner wondering who the heck you’re supposed to talk to.

Just really good people meeting really good people… and seeing what happens next.

Because THAT is where the magic happens. ✨

I heard it's healthy to celebrate your accomplishments, so I figured I'd give it a try... 😂
