Some projects remind me why I love what I do.
I recently had the opportunity to travel to Ottawa with Breakthrough T1D Canada to document T1D on the Hill, where 30 delegates from communities across Canada met with Members of Parliament, Senators, and federal officials to advocate for increased investment in type 1 diabetes research.
Behind every meeting was a personal story. Delegates shared their lived experiences while advocating for the proposed Breakthrough T1D Network for Canada (BTNC)βa national public-private partnership designed to accelerate type 1 diabetes therapies by connecting research, clinical trials, manufacturing, regulation, and adoption across Canada.
A special shout-out to Jessica Diniz and Sarah Linklater, who did an incredible job sharing the purpose of the event and the vision behind this initiative. Their passion and dedication shine throughout the video and helped bring this important story to life.
As a filmmaker, it's a privilege to capture stories that have the potential to influence policy, drive innovation, and improve lives. Thank you to the entire Breakthrough T1D Canada team for trusting me to help tell this story.
