Ottawa's old central post office looking dapper with the tulips 🌷

I've always loved this beautofil building. Built in 1939, it replaced an 1876 post office that once stood where Confederation Square is today, making it the last large federal building completed just before the Second World War began.

I've always loved the architecture of this building and the clocktower. It is truly an iconic Ottawa landmark!

I am SO excited to finally have some photos to edit and post! Its been a hot minute! Scott and I had a rare chance to hit up the Tulip Festival last Saturday and the tulips were in full bloom. It was the perfect time to go! 🌷

I have lots of photos to share but this was among my favourites from the evening. Have you had a chance to check it out yet this year?

We had a wild 9-hour layover in Chicago on a red-eye flight, and the hands-down BEST thing we did was the architecture boat tour. It’s 100x more impressive than the city’s more ‘famous’ attractions.

If you’re looking for a fun and affordable family activity in Ottawa, you need to check this out.

We were so surprised by how much our daughter loved the Canada Aviation and Space Museum. There are tons of interactive exhibits, planes she could actually climb in, and the staff was amazing.

It’s the perfect rainy day activity, and a great learning experience for the whole family.

Admission is under $20 and kids 2 and under are FREE.

You heard me right. The best sushi I’ve had in the Capital Region is at a spa. 🧖‍♀️🍣

You can book a table at KaTO Restaurant inside Kōena Spa and eat in your bathrobe on their enclosed terrace overlooking the pools. It’s the most relaxing and unique dining experience.

Don’t skip the crispy brussel sprouts!

The Miller's House at the Wakefield Mill

Scott and I had a wonderful getaway last week when we stayed at the Eco River Lodge at the Wakefield Mill. The Miller's House sits between the old mill and the Eco Lodge, and this is the beautiful path we walked each evening after dinner. It's such a beautiful spot! We had a wonderful time and the dinners at their onsite restaurant, La Muse were on point!
