36 years of age today.

Grateful for this past year, one that triggered a profound transformation in every way. A year of learning, growing, and listening more closely to my intuition. Of shedding what no longer is, and making space for what is meant to come.

I’ve always felt that 36 would be a year of deep ending and renewal. An inner knowing that something fundamental would disappear and shift. That this year would be, at the very least, profoundly transformative.
I’m already experiencing the joy and push of this new found energy.

I’m looking forward to what’s ahead, and deeply thankful to everyone who continues to show up here and support my journey. 💙

Proud to have 4 images selected in the Top 101 of Landscape Photographer Of The Year Awards.

The contest received 3,601 entries this year, and it was my first time ever submitting to a photography competition.

Here are the four images.

My NFT GENESIS DROP «Lumière du Noir» is a metaphor for being stuck in a very dark place, a place of comfort & apathy, but finally discovering the possibilities of the world outside of your comfort zone, a world of light & potential. I will be dropping the first piece of this series on SuperRare on May 21st!

Last summer scrambled up to this viewpoint twice, alone. On my first time up there, I spent the entire night under the rain. Sunset, night and sunrise were a skunk. But I found a pretty cool 1-foot tall cave and decided to take some shots from the inside.

My second time up there was during a night I that had pretty bad insomnia, and I decided to go on a solo night hike instead of laying in bed, eyes open. So I scrambled in in the dark for an hour and half and made it up there on time to capture the stars and blue hour.

Funny how being alone at the top in the dark can calm myself down and help me put things into perspective. Like a meditation.

Shot on A7riii + Sony 12-24 F2.8

Blue Hour/night composite.
Yes, this « cave » exist and you can see the lake from it. I did modify the cave to make it look bigger.

Because composite photography is my favorite thing for creative self expression, my goal with my work is rarely to stay 100% true to reality.

However, this image represents a real experience.

From the parking lot it would take you about 30km to get up that spot. But we decided to visit Berg lake for 3 nights , allowing us to explore the area and enjoy some nights camping in the mountains.

Conditions the first few days weren’t great with a lot of rain, but the weather turned on the last night. I went crazy, decided to sacrifice some sleep and went back up that view point. I literally ran up there by myself, knowing the sky wouldn’t stay clear for long. When I arrived, a thick fog was covering the entire valley, but the wind slowly pushed it away, creating this unique atmosphere. It was amazing to be up there by myself, observe the fog rolling down the valley, I don’t think I’ve ever experienced something like that.

I ended up staying up for the rest of the night despite having to hike back 20km with our big bags.

I really love to push myself physically and mentally to get these shots. When I look at this photo, I remember the experience, but also how strong I am, and that’s why I like to look back at my art in moments of weakness.

Shot with :
a7riii + 16-35 f2.8

Foreground : 3-shot panorama
13 sec, f7.1, iso 2000

Stars : 25 sec, f3.2, iso 3200

Edited in Lightroom (using my Classic Night preset) + Photoshop (about 3-4 hours of editing)

Acouple of weeks ago I went to explore a remote glacier with friends. We started the hike in -17 degrees and ended up eploring the glacier for 11 hours and decided to stay at night to shoot the stars despite the cold.

At some point the crew went shooting another part of the glacier which left me alone with that ice arch. In the moment I didnt think anything of it and wasn't super trilled about the composition, and to be honnest the best part of being here wasnt to take photos, but the experience to be on a glacier at night with friends. I was still very peaceful to be there by myself & watch the moon rise in the corner of the cave.

So 17 hours later, I came back home and forgot about it.

But Yesterday while working on my 21 Shades Of Blue Hour Course & Preset Pack, I decided to pour myself a glass of wine & give it a go. I created this composite with my Ice Cave preset as a base.

Foreground :

Panoramam of 3 images manually stitched in Photoshop :
25 sec, f6.3, iso 125
A7riii + 12-24 f2.8

Sky :
20 sec, f2.8, iso 1000
A7riii + 16-35 f2.8
