Last night I got together with my incredible Mintakan soul sister for a session that I had planned on being a radiant golden hour session.
The universe had other plans for us though as the sky was clouded over. When I reached out to Laura to ask if she was ok if it wasn’t the beautiful golden hour we had hoped for she said “What happens is meant to happen!” Here I was bummed that I wasn’t going to get the shots I had planned and being reminded to let everything unfold as it needs to.
Laura was a breath of fresh air and I was honoured to watch her go into a spiritual place while I captured her magic. The photos I took are some of my absolute favourites despite the clouds.
Towards the end of our session, she got low into the water and put her hands together. It looked as if she was in silent prayer. At this exact moment, the skies opened up and it began POURING rain. You know, those heavy huge droplets that feel so cleansing. Her reaction and expression to the down pour says it all. This was like mana from heaven. She said “I feel like my soul has just been cleansed and rejuvenated.” (Same girl, SAME.)
I’m thanking creator and creation itself today for continuing to bring the souls I’m meant to know into my life. I’m especially grateful for this goddess and all her soul wisdom she has poured into me over the last year.
