Another photo from yesterday's visit at the lake!

This bald eagle couple chose Douglas Lake for their nesting spot at the end of 2024(?) or the early beginning of 2025(?) - and they were successful in raising a chick in 2025. It felt like a once in a lifetime oppurnity to witness, but here we are in 2026, getting ready to witness their second try at being parents 🥰

This afternoon, I started playing around with double exposure for the very first time, and this was my forth attempt! Talk about photographers luck with having a male bald eagle for a model. He's not looking, but I still think it's super cool! 😇🍀
His partner and nest are off to the left of the tree he's sitting on.. he's such a great partner, always close and watching over her 🥹🦅
