Vacation announcement 📢

I'm taking a little trip to focus on a different kind of exposure 🌅

Before I leave I will be working hard to wrap up any galleries I currently have in the works and in order to stick to my editing timeliness, I will not be booking any new sessions in the days before I leave unless they are urgent

I will still be answering any new inquiries while I am away but there may be a bit of a delay in my usual responses

Can't wait to see everyone when I return!!

Loki rocked his Indigo Barrie photoshoot!

Challenge number 4 for Emerge with Unleashed Education was all about shooting indoors in any style we desired.

If you know anything about me, you know I live for outdoor shooting and going on adventures with your pets. But living in a place with never ending Winter means I have had to be more adaptable and be able to move indoors when the harsh weather required it.

Indoor lighting has always been the biggest challenge for me and this setting was no exception. I was SO thrilled that our final submission made it into the top 10 for this round!!

Behind the charts, check-ups and crazy case loads is a team that sees it all as more than just a job, it's a passion.

It is always a privilege to document the people who dedicate their lives to keeping our four-legged family members happy and healthy. I love getting to show the genuine connection and compassion that these teams brings to work every single day. And of course staff photos are always more fun when you bring along some special assistants.

Special shout out to the amazing team at Ascentra for taking care of one of my crew last week - he was in serious need of dental care and for the first time he is finally pain free.

A look of determination (and desire for treats)

Our third Emerge challenge 3 with Unleashed Education was all about creating a coloured image using either high or low key lighting and to pose our subject in a way that supports the mood of the lighting choice we made

I have always leaned more towards the darker and moody imagery so I immediately knew which direction I wanted to go and I was SO shocked and happy to find out we made the top 10 for this category!!

Delta was more than happy to help me capture this image when Cheerios were involved. The hardest part was getting her to make a more serious face because this girl always has a smile or super adorable head tilt 💕
