**Company Name:**
MTN Thermal Drone Services
MTN Thermal Drone Services ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting data privacy and personal information. Our operations comply with Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act (P**A) and the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Drones are equipped with high-resolution optical and thermal sensors; this policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard data during our operations.
#1. Information We Collect
While conducting aerial imaging, thermal inspections, and mapping services, we may inadvertently or incidentally collect personal information. This can include:
* Images of identifiable individuals (faces or unique physical traits).
* Vehicle license plates.
* Clear depictions of private residential properties not visible from ground level.
#2. How We Use the Information
We collect data strictly for authorized, lawful commercial purposes outlined in our client service agreements (e.g., structural inspections, wildlife tracking, energy audits, search and rescue support). We do not use incidentally captured personal data for any purpose.
#3. Data Minimization and Privacy Safeguards
To protect individual privacy, MTN Thermal Drone Services applies the following strict operational protocols:
* **Flight Path Optimization:** We program flight paths to minimize or avoid flying over residential properties or areas where individuals have a reasonable expectation of privacy.
* **Sensor Angle Management:** Cameras and thermal sensors are angled strictly toward the target asset to eliminate unnecessary background data capture.
* **Anonymization:** If faces, license plates, or private spaces are incidentally recorded, we apply digital blurring or masking techniques before delivering the final data or imagery to clients.
* **Secure Storage:** All raw aerial data is stored on encrypted, secure servers with restricted user access to prevent unauthorized viewing, modification, or data breaches.
# 4. Data Retention and Destruction
We retain raw imagery data only as long as necessary to fulfill our contractual obligations to our clients or to meet legal and regulatory requirements. Once the purpose is complete, all raw files containing identifiable personal data are permanently and securely deleted.
# 5. Access, Corrections, and Deletion Requests
Under P**A and PIPEDA, individuals have a right to access any personal information we hold about them. If you believe your personal image or property was captured during our drone operations, you may request access, restriction, or total deletion of that data.
Please direct all privacy inquiries, data deletion requests, or complaints to our designated Privacy Officer.
