A few weeks ago, I took my camera out for the first time in months.

Some of the photos here are from last fall along the country road I would take from Cumberland to work, displaying the beauty of autumn.

Fast forward to spring now as it blooms into an array of beautiful colors! On occasion, I have the pleasure of watching deer from my patio window. These young deer are part of two families that make this area home. Within walking distance from home is Filberg Park and a peaceful Creekside trail.

The longer I live here and witness the wonders of nature unfold each season, the more I want to discover. So much to see and learn.

Greetings,

I have made the decision to shut down my website at the end of this month. I will be taking the time to reevaluate whether or not to move forward with Sow and Bloom in a new direction or not at all.
However, for now, I will continue with this page and share photos here.

I will be venturing into Portrait Photography! An endeavor I felt to start two years ago but hesitated as it is out of my comfort zone. Not so much with animals mind you. I came across these images from over a year ago of my sweet Gilbert. He is very photogenic don't you think?

In the next few weeks, courtesy of the tenants in my complex, they will be my guinea pigs as I navigate the complexities of portrait photography!

Don't forget to spring forward your clocks!☺️☺️

My first visit to Milner Gardens this season!
Will miss my regular visits here, but looking forward to finding new great places to visit!
The Island boasts of so many areas to explore, I hope to find some new favorites!

Markets are complete for the year! Hard to believe Christmas is a week away and a New Year is on the horizon!
Yesterday, I had the opportunity to explore an area of Qualicum Beach I had never seen before - Grandon Creek Trail which leads down to the highway along the beach. Throughout my walk, spring-like conditions was evident with mild temperatures and blooming flowers.

Happy Canada Day!

Last weekend, I visited Newcastle Island for the first time where I enjoyed a beautiful walk around most of the approximate 8km perimeter loop. The ferry ride was a short 5-10 minutes. A return visit to rent a bicycle and kayak is a must!

Milner Garden always boasts something new with each visit.

Summer is shaping up to be a busy and exciting one!

Come visit me at the Lighthouse Market on July 9th and the Parksville Market on July 16th and 23rd.

Next month, I will be a vendor at the Summer Rain Concert in Port Alberni on August 12th. Invite your friends and come join the party!
