Inga Morozoff Photography Hobbiest photographer and watercolourist What others have to say:
"I have had the pleasure of volunteering with Inga for just over a year now.

She takes amazing photos of our rescued, adoptable animals. Inga is somehow able to capture, in a photo, exactly what I see every dog's heart when I look at them. To me, Inga epitomizes, what I feel, is a true volunteer. She selflessly uses her mad photography skills to help us get hundreds of animals the attention they deserve through her fantastic photos." ~Jen, AARCS

"Your photos are always a

mazing! Even though my dog had crazy beans for breakfast, you were patient and able to capture how handsome he is. Don't ever quit what you're doing!" ~ Kelly

"Your photos are absolutely amazing!" ~Nancy

"A great photograph evokes emotion in its viewer. Congratulations on such outstanding work!! If there is ever a morning when you awake and you wonder "What is the purpose of what I am doing here?", never forget what a difference you are making in the lives of animals and humans alike. A lot of us sit at home and think about the things we "could" do with our talents....you actually get off your butt and DO it!" ~Rosemary

"Let Inga take your pics. She's !@ #$ awesome!" ~Name Withheld :-)

What a terrific few days of photography. A den with baby red fox kits (*), a couple of moose, a gathering of white-tailed deer, several brilliant male Mountain Bluebirds, a Song Sparrow, an Eastern Kingbird, a den with three baby coyotes (*), a small flock of American Goldfinch and several species I couldn't get my camera on including Baltimore Orioles.

* Undisclosed location. The coyote pups were photographed with a long lens and the resulting photos are severely cropped.

I found a roadside pond with a small group of shorebirds including a few White-faced Ibis, American Avocet and Black-necked Stilt. While I've seen Ibis before, this was the first time they were photographable. The evening light on their plumage shows how beautiful they are. Thank you for looking.

It's a great time of year to see birds that are going to nest in our parts or just passing through. This week I was fortunate to photograph three species that nest in the far north and were seen resting on their long migration. This included several thousand Sandhill Cranes, a few Tundra swans and Greater white-fronted geese.

We did an impromptu drive to look for returning Snowy Owls but only ran into a small herd of bison (which I didn't get any photos of), a flock of several male ring-necked pheasants, Texas longhorn cattle and a gorgeous little Short-eared Owl. While we never did see any Snowy Owls, it was still a terrific and rewarding outting.

I drove the backroads a few times this week and it's apparent that fall migration is upon us. Swainson's Hawks are calling one another and gathering into loose groups in preparation for their long migration to South America. These photos show adults in both light morph and dark morph variations and a juvenile light morph.

I did a quick overnight trip to the Medicine Hat area and spent my time traveling the back roads. The species I saw included: a dozen Pronghorn, hundreds of Vesper Sparrows, a dozen Northern Harriers, several Swainson's Hawks, several Merlins, a couple of Loggerhead Shrikes, one Western Kingbird, a dozen or more Western Meadowlark, two Badgers, a lone Coyote, a million or more grasshoppers, and two Prairie Falcons. The birds and even the raptors seem to be gathering in loose groups in preparation for fall migration. I wasn't able to photograph everything I saw, but am very pleased with what I saw. Can't wait to go back, but this time with the truck! Those back roads were a challenge!

I didn't get out much in July and the insane amount of rain we had didn't help. I did get an Osprey and Trumpeter Swan in front of my lens which was nice. Hope you're having a wonderful summer!

I had a wonderful morning photographing this very rare visitor to our area. This beautiful Snowy Egret is much smaller than I expected and proved to be a very skilled hunter. In the hour that I spent with this bird, it caught a wide variety of prey including fish, bugs, larvae, and worms. Thanks for looking!
