I have recently decided to move back into my car as staff accommodation always has a new surprise to take off of my pay check. I decided that I did not want to afford twice the rent that I originally signed to pay for. Today is the day of a new chapter under the roof of my car. I’m happy to be living in my car. For me it’s an adventure and it’s just like camping, but even more comfy.

Il n’y a pas très longtemps j’ai pris la décision de déménager dans mon auto. Je vivais dans le « staff accommodation » donc c’est un prix réduit pour un appartement pour les employés d’une compagnie. Mais ces derniers temps il y avait toujours une nouvelle chose à payé sans préavis. Quand le prix a doublé pour le mois j’ai décidé de partir, car ce n’était plus un prix réduit pour un appartement. Aujourd’hui je commence un nouveau chapitre sous le toit de ma voiture. Je suis excitée, car pour moi c’est une aventure, un peu comme le camping, mais encore plus confortable.

Georgette is due for a car wash. Anyways here’s a few pictures of the mountains and a few big horn sheeps I’ve been seeing a lot of them recently. I have also taken the decision to move out of my apartment as rent as drastically increased. I feel really excited to move back into my car, Georgette is the OG.

Les derniers jours j’ai fait beaucoup de route alors je suis allée faire du camping dans une ville qui s’appelle Kenora (c’est en Ontario juste avant de rentrer au Manitoba). L’emplacement était superbe, mais j’ai mal dormi dans le froid et dans une côte 😂 mais je le referais n’importe quand. Aujourd’hui je suis arrivée à Winnipeg ☺️

Après avoir fait pas mal de route j’ai réalisé que Charette n’est pas vraiment de milieu de nul part. Je faisais ma route dans le nord de l’Ontario (sûrement une de mes plus beaux tours de toto🚗) dans ces coins là il faut s’assurer qu’on a assez de gaz dans la voiture parce que le prochain village est souvent 100 kilomètres plus loin ou plus. Je me sentais vraiment dans le milieu de nul part, mais c’était vraiment beau. Des paysages à couper le souffle, la paix. Par contre, j’ai vu plusieurs écoles, station service et même des motels abandonnés. J’imagine qu’il n’y avait pas assez de clientèle ou d’étudiants.

I have spent the last two days camping as I have done a lot of driving in the past few days. I camped in a small camping in the town of Kenora. I camped at the Anicinabe Park right by the water. The view was exquisite, I was pleasantly surprised by a beautiful sunrise this morning before I left to Manitoba. Tonight I will sleep in Manitoba.

After driving hundreds upon hundreds of kilometres in the northern part of Ontario I quickly realized that my little village in La Mauricie region isn’t really in the middle of nowhere. Big realization: Charette is actually not in the middle of nowhere ! 🤯When I was driving in these areas I had to make sure I had enough gas to make it to the next village, sometimes the next village was a hundred kilometres away or more. In order to make it, I had to make sure I had enough fuel. I have to admit that I have seen so many pretty views down in Lake Superior National Park, the Ouimet Canyon and all these lakes surrounding me. Truly a breath taking view.
