Still hanging onto tulip season just a little longer 🌷 Timmy & Bane were actually clients of mine way back in the beginning! Circa 2022. 😭 So grateful to have clients that come back and choose me to capture their babies all over again. Thank you, Chanel!

We haven’t hopped off the bunny train quite yet 👀 This little brown bunny is named Aster (and miss Luna pops up in this gallery too). He was definitely a little more reserved than Luna at their session but I think he did so well! 🥹

I’ve had the pleasure of photographing miss Luna once before at the pumpkin patch and apple orchard back in October. To see her again, but this time in a gorgeous tulip field, made my heart soar. 😍 She is truly such a little poser and makes my job incredibly easy! This is for all the bunny lovers. 🤍

Ada & Vanilla are the kind of pair where you can feel the bond instantly. Growing up alongside your dog is such a special kind of journey and Ada was lucky enough to have that with her precious girl. Here’s what Ada had to say about her girl:

💞 “Vanilla has been my best friend through so many different stages of my life. We got her as a 5 month old puppy when I was around 15 (after I had been begging to get a dog literally since I was a toddler), so we’ve grown up together. She’s always been my rock through high school, university, relationships and breakups. She is gentle, patient, and understanding at the right times. She has made my life so full of colour, and I wouldn’t be where or who I am today without her.”

I had the pleasure of photographing Jamie’s dogs last year before she welcomed Rise to the family (the little toller she’s hugging 💛). This session felt a little extra special, focusing more on Rise and the sweet bond they share. All of Jamie’s dogs are incredible, but I have to admit, I completely fell for little miss Rise. 🥺 Jamie, thank you again for trusting me to capture more moments with your beautiful pack. 🌲

Not every photo requires dramatics or intense editing. I really try to embrace “less is more”. That’s not to say some photos don’t require a bit more attention or care, but 9 times out of 10, doing less preserves the moment exactly as it was felt. Most of my time editing is spent making small intentional adjustments (subtle color shifts, balancing light, guiding the eye) rather than completely transforming a photo. These are my favourite kind of posts to share. 🎨🖌️

I don’t think I could even sit down and dream up a session like this one. Everything aligned absolutely perfectly… we crossed our fingers for snow and of course on the morning of our session Mother Nature said “oh okay, here you go then”. ❄️😂 These two babies couldn’t be more in their element. I’ve only photographed a handful of huskies before, but never in a snow setting like this. Apple & Smart were made for this perfect backdrop. 🤍

Zuri and her family joined me for a little city walk session in Old Quebec back in February 🤍 It was Valentine’s Day (and a Saturday 🙈), so the streets were busier than ever. But regardless, Zuri was an absolute star, turning heads everywhere we went. This adorable little side street felt like something out of a fairytale, and it holds such special meaning for Zuri and her family. I’m so honoured that I could capture them in a place they love so much. Last slide is some BTS of Zuri & I together. 🫶🏼

Here’s what Ho-Ly had to say about her beloved Zuri…

“Zuri is our first pet. She gave us the greatest many first experiences. I brought her home during my last year of university studies. At the time, I was studying full-time in Ottawa, living on my own, working part-time, and returning to the family home in Montreal every weekend. In all honesty, it was a difficult first few puppy months, but Zuri turned out to be the most special family member. She is the center of most of our decisions: choice of work schedule, choice of new neighborhood and home in Toronto, choice of cars, choice of vacation destinations, even daily decisions like our grocery lists. Zuri is the glue that reminds us of the good things and to be mindful of each other.” 🤍

I don’t even know where to begin with this adorable duo and their humans. Nym & Verse were some of the coolest dogs I’ve ever met and had the privilege of photographing. So incredibly talented and smart! We had a very fun (and very cold ❄️) evening together outside of Quebec City back in February. Without Elissa and her pups, my Quebec photoshoot dreams wouldn’t have been possible. Thank you for sharing your amazing dogs with me. 🫶🏼 (last slide of the 4 of us together after our shoot)

I’m feeling slightly out of my element in front of the camera. But I truly wanted to create something that felt like me, that felt like us. And this is it. These self-portraits mean more to me than any photo I’ve ever had. They’re not perfect, but they’re perfect to me.

When sent me this lens to try, I wanted to create something personal for myself and this was an opportunity where I could do that. No pressure to create something perfect, just something for me.

I didn’t expect to love 40mm as much as I do. It feels intimate, close enough to pull you into the moment, but still long enough with compression to create some really soft background elements. It feels natural, like how I see. I’m looking forward to having this as a staple in my camera bag!

All photo & video shot on the AF 40mm f/2 for Nikon Z-mount.
