I'm taken back to the Tatshenshini and Alsek Rivers for a moment and remember why for the first time in decades I journalled. Everyday held something new, so much so that I would feel the need to write it all down to make sure I wouldn't forget any of it simply from so much "wow" overloading my memory banks. It wasn't just about capturing all the views on camera, but about capturing the feelings from the whole experience. Now I can open up my journal and look at the images and videos I captured and be completely transported back to the adventure of a lifetime 🏞🏕📖

“This is my favourite camp spot so far.” 🏕️
Every night on this expedition, I’d pull out my journal once settled into camp and jot down a few personal thoughts and some of the day’s events. Every night, I’d write the phrase above and it’d be true. Every day on this expedition everything gets bigger and better; the river, the mountains, the food, the wildlife… and the camp spots. But if pressed for a personal favourite, this big and open camp spot nestled on an island at the confluence of the Tatshenshini and Alsek Rivers between two mountain ridges and with just short of a 360-view, would be the one.
