“Interpretation is not a luxury—it’s a right.”

Young Joe shares why every refugee deserves access to proper interpretation. When you’re telling your story—whether in a hearing, a hospital, or any official space—your words must be understood clearly and truthfully.

Interpretation is not just about translating words. It’s about protecting stories, rights, and futures.

Refugee Talk was proud to be there—sharing space, stories, and solidarity with our fellow community members.

Because behind every banner, every smile, and every step… there’s a story worth hearing and a life worth uplifting.

Let’s continue to amplify refugee voices—not just today, but every day.

Here’s a short video capturing the energy, connection, and purpose that filled the air at the World Refugee Day event organized by MAP.

Today, we stood together for refugees.
It was an honour for Refugee Talk to be part of the World Refugee Day event organized by MAP (Multi-Agency Partnership). We brought our banner, our stories, and most importantly—our voices.

Events like these remind us why we do what we do. Every photo, every handshake, and every conversation is a step toward dignity, justice, and belonging for all who’ve been forced to flee.

To all the community organizations, volunteers, and newcomers who showed up—you inspire us.

Let’s keep walking forward, together.

On June 20, we honour the strength, courage, and resilience of refugees around the world.
This image—refugees walking over mountains—is more than a photo. It’s a reminder of the long, painful journeys millions take in search of safety.
Behind every step is a story of survival, of hope, and of the unshakable belief in a better future.
Let us never forget their courage. Let us stand with them—not just today, but every day.
