Today is Red Dress Day.
We keep thinking about how many women and girls should still be here… how many families are still waiting for answers that never came. These aren’t just stories we hear once a year. These are real people who were loved deeply. Daughters, sisters, moms, friends and they were taken far too soon.
There’s something about today that doesn’t sit quietly. It’s heavy, and honestly, it should be. This isn’t just about awareness. It’s about facing something that’s still happening, still being ignored more than it should be.
If you have a moment today, learn a little more. Listen to Indigenous voices. Talk about it. Even small things matter, especially when this has gone unheard for so long.
Wear red if you can. But more than that, don’t let it end here.
You can meet with us at Angel's Corner at 5:30pm, we will be walking through town, honoring the red dresses hanging through town, and ending at the metal teepee behind BCF.
