There is something incredibly magical about the direction weddings are heading these days.

Lately, couples are stripping away the traditional pressures and focusing entirely on what matters most. Anisa and Steve’s gorgeous elopement-style wedding was the perfect reminder that a truly beautiful celebration only needs three simple ingredients: an officiant, a location, and a whole lotta love.

How do you know you have the absolute best coworkers ever? When they give you the gift of professional photography for your wedding ceremony!

Emily & Sean are heading off to Jamaica to celebrate their wedding with 100 of their closest friends and family. Since that’s where the big party is happening, they weren't planning on having a photographer capture the "official business" back home... Enter Emily's amazing coworkers, who made sure this special moment was captured for them!

I am so incredibly happy I got to spend an hour with these two (and their 6 guests), right in the spot where Sean proposed. In spite of the unexpected rain and a swarm of relentless midge flies, we had the most awesome time together.
Enjoy the party in Jamaica and congratulations again!!!!

Generational photo sessions are always my favourite, and there is something so special about reconnecting with people who have been in front of your lens before. It’s been a lifetime of seasons since we last captured portraits of all of these beautiful humans, and seeing how the kiddos have grown and how their stories have unfolded and grown in the years between is the greatest reward of this job. Truly a full-circle moment.

Remember my last hockey post? The fun didn't end there! The rink was a party that day and the fun kept going. Huge thanks to Jeff for securing the ice for us.

Over a decade ago, Elizabeth and I sat in a giant teacup at Chapters with Nadine and Jeff to discuss the magic of their wedding. I didn’t know then that I was meeting my future Chosen Family, or that they would create an incredible child who is now one of my son’s best friends. The universe truly blessed me with this family and I am forever grateful to have them and call them my friends.

This is why I love what I do. As a photographer, I don’t just take photographs... I get a front-row seat to all of the amazing chapters of your lives as they unfold.

One of my favourite families are back for more photos! They are a family of Hockey and Ringette players so we decided to have a little family fun on the ice this time around! I have no idea how I stayed vertical on the ice as we played around and captured these awesome memories! Thank you again for hanging out with me, family!!!

In college we had an assignment called "The Edge of Light" and it sparked a lifelong fascination with that delicate place where light meets shadow. During this family session we found a narrow space between the edges and made some magic within it.

I always talk about how photography helps to shape our visual legacy, so generational photo sessions are always my favourite. This family had me non stop laughing as I captured the friendship between cousins, the effortless hilarity between siblings, the love and adoration of parents for their children, and the sparks that burn forever between partners.

This past Saturday marked the start of our 20th wedding season together and we were so happy we got to celebrate with Alex + Matt.

In the last 2 decades we’ve photographed weddings in blistering heat and bone-chilling cold, across borders and continents, in quiet intimate moments and grand celebrations. We watched a global pandemic change and redefine weddings, but through every challenge and every chapter, one truth has remained constant: love always finds a way.
