On April 9, 2026, LUX Steakhouse and Bar hosted an unforgettable evening in support of the Mental Health Foundation, bringing guests together for exceptional cuisine, powerful storytelling, and meaningful connection. The intimate, family-style dinner fostered warm conversations and a strong sense of community.

The evening featured a fireside chat with local author Cody Lakevold, who shared insights from his book Longship, alongside Tyler Smith, Humboldt Broncos survivor and mental health advocate. Their honest and moving stories of resilience, grief, and healing deeply resonated with attendees.

The event concluded with a successful silent auction and personal connections between guests and speakers.

The evening stood as a powerful reminder that connection and conversation are at the heart of healing and mental health support.

It’s been a whirlwind 24 hours and 8 years since I showcased my work with Raw Artists.

It took me 2 years to produce my work photojournalist work from Ukraine. I deeply struggled sharing these images due to it’s unfortunate circumstances. Coming full circle, I am reminded of the daily conversations I would have with countless Ukrainians and the importance in sharing what has and continues to happen with the Western world.

The response from viewers and honoured guests was beyond anything I could have asked for.

I know in my heart that this has only just begun!
