"I Feel Like I'm Going To Dream Tonight."

So I made these photos with the very talented aforementioned individuals and for some reason I wasn’t initially feeling great about these. I liked them but didn’t love them. I think I felt that it wasn’t my best work and after holding on to them for a while I realized the reason for that was that I had rushed the edits. The photos themselves are well shot and directed, with great flow and movement thanks to Dante, but I felt that something was off. So I sat down and decided to edit them for a bit longer and put some more effort in. After putting literally 10 percent more effort into the colour work I’m now a huge fan of this set. Anyway this is essentially a roundabout way of me saying that sometimes you just need to add 10% more effort into your work to make it your best, always try your hardest and don’t be lazy, and remember to critique your own work because you’re not the best and you never will be. So ya hope you guys like these as much as I do.

Believe it or not this shoot was almost completely impromptu. The general idea had been drifting around in my head for a while and all it took were these extremely talented gentlemen to make it happen. I’ve been creating some really inspired work with Dante recently but I hadn’t worked with my brother, Mikhael on photography for a few years. It was really interesting to make photos of Mikhael after not working on photos with him for a while. I tried to capture both they’re styles and essences within these shots and that’s what I think really makes work like this collaborative.

I’ve been been working on this surreal-ish nighttime style for a bit and am excited to create more sets like this. Let me know what you think in the commentsss. 🌙✨🎞

These are honestly some of my favourite images I’ve created in a while. I’m super excited to be creating with models again. I’m going to be experimenting more with shooting on film and creating these cinematic stills as a way of practicing cinematography and further developing my style. Hope you guys like this project.
