THROUGH A DIFFERENT LENS

I’ve shot only one wedding, & let me tell you, it’s so fun but can be very exhausting & stressful. The stress of making sure your settings are right & running around to get the right angle & capturing the right moments can definitely be a lot on a photographer’s mind. But in the end, it’s so worth it! I would 100% do this again in a heartbeat!

For those wondering what that thing is, it’s a lensball! It’s a fun little prop that I use for macro photography. It also just adds an interesting touch to normal photos. My two friends in this photo were intrigued by it when they first saw me taking pictures with it on a camping trip. When they asked me to do their wedding photos, I knew I had to use this.

CAMPAGNA TOSCANA

I’ve been back from Italy for a about a month now, I’m just not good at posting!

This. Place. Is. STUNNING!!! We watched our friends get married, stayed at a beautiful villa outside of Siena, went on a 13 km hike in the countryside & that’s where I took this picture. We passed a villa that had a beautiful view of an open field & a castle in the distance! I promise there will be more to come & I will do better at posting!

Tumbler Ridge has some amazing scenery to appreciate! I got this picture of Babcock Falls back in 2020 & it was such a pretty sight! The water was so cold too but it felt so nice on a day like this!

SCOTTISH FAIRYTALE

Another one from my adventure in Scotland! We were on our way to the Aberfeldy Distillery & our tour guide made a stop so we could take in this lovely scenery which I’m so glad he did! This place reminds me of a scene from every single fairytale I’ve ever read. So breathtaking & beautiful!

This was taken in Edinburgh, Scotland in the month of July. My boyfriend & I decided to go for a walk halfway up Arthur’s Seat to kill some time before we could check into our Airbnb. This page has been up for a while now & it about time I done something with it! To start, let me introduce myself;

My name is Morgan Mitchell & I’m a photographer living in Fort St. John, British Columbia.

I developed an interest in the art of nature photography at the age of 15 & got my first DSLR camera at 16. The additional lens & other accessories came later as gifts to fuel my passion & creativity! Aside from my camera, I also have learned how to use my iPhone camera for those moments when I don’t have my DSLR on me. I’m constantly learning how to take better photos & increasing my knowledge, whether it’s online, in books or just from messing with settings!

Recently, I’ve developed a major bug for travelling. This year, I made a two week trip to Scotland & came back with so many photos on both my phone & my camera! I’m still not done going through them! I have another trip planned at the end of the year to Italy for a wedding, but we all know I’ll be taking my DSLR with me!

When I’m not out taking pictures or travelling, I can be found at my day job at a dealership, selling parts & working towards my automotive parts ticket! Or I can be found at home snuggling my two cats, watching shows on Netflix & crocheting. I also make time for my second passion of music; I play piano, guitar, violin, ukulele & I sing.

Throughout the years, I’ve built an extensive collection of pictures that I’m proud of. And it’s fun seeing how much my skills have developed over the years! It’s also fun sharing my pictures, my passion, with friends & family. But I decided to start using my passion to start selling my work. I’ve built a store on Picfair for people to shop my photos!

All photos that I post on here will be available for purchasing & will include my brand as a watermark. To get that watermark removed, you simply just have to make a purchase on my online store!

I’d also like to add that I’m open for mini sessions! However, I don’t have a set schedule for those, but feel free to shoot me a message & we can work something out together! Those photos won’t be posted on this page unless you give me permission to do so!

I told myself I was going to use this page to promote my work, as I said, I’m very proud of how far my skills have come. I hope you will share my page with your friends & family!
