A little photography availability update ✨📸

Now that I’ve finished my Social Work Diploma and am officially stepping into my career in social work, my photography schedule is going to look a little different!

Celestial Captures is absolutely still here and I’m still SO excited to continue photographing all of you 🥹❤️
But photography will now primarily be a weekend business for me, with some weekday evenings available when my schedule allows.

What this means is that booking ahead is going to be more important than ever, especially with fall sessions and Christmas season coming up! 🍂🎄
My ability to accommodate last-minute sessions is going to be much more limited than it has been in the past.

And truthfully, saying no to people is HARD for me 😭
I genuinely hate turning down a session when someone reaches out and I just don’t have the availability. But I’m also learning that I have to protect my time, maintain some boundaries, and leave room for my job, photography, my family and, somewhere in there, myself too 😂❤️

So if you’ve been thinking about booking fall photos, Christmas photos, family photos, or anything else, please don’t wait until the last minute to reach out! 🙌🏼
I’d much rather get you into my calendar ahead of time than have to tell you I can’t squeeze you in🥹

Sometimes the photographer gets in front of the camera too 😅📸🤍

A little behind-the-scenes moment from our waterfall adventure!
My lovely client was pretty adamant that this wasn’t just going to be her photoshoot, we were making it a girls’ adventure and taking photos of each other too. And honestly, it was the best time🥰

Getting on the other side of the camera gives me such a different perspective. It helps me learn more about posing, what feels natural (and what definitely doesn’t 😂), and how I can better guide my own clients.

And then there’s the editing… because apparently editing photos of yourself is a whole different level of being critical 😅
But even that gives me another opportunity to practice, learn, and keep growing.

Three years into this little photography journey and I’m still learning every single time I pick up my camera, and I think that’s one of my favourite parts 🤍📸

There’s something extra special about capturing a family right in the middle of a season they’ll never get back 🥹🤍

This sweet session happened just as their little man was getting ready to celebrate his FIRST birthday! 🎂✨
One whole year of watching him grow, discovering his little personality, and making a million tiny memories along the way.

The snuggles, the giggles, the little hands, and all the love between them, these are the moments that deserve to be frozen in time🤎

✨ **WATERFALL SNEAK PEEK** ✨

Okayyy… I am a little obsessed with how these turned out. 😍🌿💦

This session was such an adventure from start to finish, and I am SO thankful to this beautiful client for trusting me with her vision and being willing to adventure with me to make it happen. There’s something extra special about creating images like these when the experience behind them was just as much fun as the final photos 🤍

I’ve been doing photography for just over three years now, but for much of that time it’s been very part-time; between being a mom, completing my Social Work program, working, and just navigating life. Photography has always been something I’ve continued to come back to because I genuinely love it.

And while I’m incredibly proud of how far I’ve come, I also know there is so much more for me to learn, new techniques, new settings, new situations, and lots of experimenting along the way. That’s part of what makes photography so exciting to me.

I’m incredibly grateful for every client who trusts me enough to give me the opportunity to create, experiment, learn, grow and become a better photographer with every session 🥹🤍

And THIS session?! Definitely one for the books. The adventure, the laughs, the location… all of it.
