I went out at sunrise this morning in search of some Ospreys. I managed to locate a locally nesting Osprey enjoying some breakfast at the pond. Unfortunately I wasn’t quite lucky enough to see the catch happen but pretty happy with the results.

Hoping to potentially capture a hunt soon before they head south for the winter.

I had used a window of an old enclosed bridge to frame this up but ended preferring the crop but I think it definitely gave me the best angle.

Getting to watch a heron hunt for its food is a very cool experience! The way they stalk there prey and the patience they have whilst doing so is very impressive.

Whilst making a visit to Prince Edward Island, I saw an unbelievable amount of herons but this one was in a good position to photograph. Like the Heron I was patient in waiting to get my shots.

The landscape of Hopewell Rocks in New Brunswick is like very few other places in the world. Known for its ‘flowerpot’ rocks, they provide this spectacle of what seems impossible.

It’s also home to array of wildlife including the world’s fastest animal, the Peregrine Falcon. Photos of this beautiful bird of prey can be seen in previous post.

The Peregrine Falcon. This is the World’s fastest living animal! They can achieve speeds up to 240mph(390kph) when in a full dive.

I felt very lucky to get the opportunity to see one this weekend whilst in visiting Hopewell Rocks. This was my first time managing to capture a bird of prey successfully. Whilst I may not have been lucky enough to see a dive, it still felt like a pretty special moment.
