Over three years ago, I decided to quit my job and go back to school, in the hopes that I would be able to find myself a fulfilling career and put my creative energy towards useful and meaningful work. For one of my final school projects before completing my program in graphic design, I had the opportunity to with to create the cover and parts of the layout design for the newsprint publication for as part of an insert in . One of the goals of this publication was to share with the people living in Toronto, some intriguing and exciting reasons why they should consider living in Hamilton. For the cover photo, we went to in and took some of the skyline, in the hopes of capturing the essence and charm of the , and to create an image that represented the endless possibilities the city has to offer. This was all part of the that offers for .mohawk students, and many other students from a variety of programs at the college. In addition to our part, photography and journalism students shot and wrote content for this publication, making this a multi-program collaboration effort.
