Feeling incredibly honoured and grateful.
For the past two years, Fanshawe College has trusted Studio 73 Digital Media with interns from their Interactive Design Program and I can honestly say it’s been one of the most rewarding parts of what I do. It’s given me the chance to step back into a role I love… mentoring, teaching, and helping shape the next generation of creative talent.
But this year? This year was something truly special.
When I opened the email and saw the names Laila Seif and Josie Muncaster , I had one of those full-circle moments. I instantly recognized Laila—I had the privilege of being her high school co-op graphic design teacher at the DCACLondon in London, thanks to my good friend Mario Circelli.
I always wondered where her journey would take her… and here she was again, stepping into Studio73 ready to create. And just like before—she didn’t just meet expectations, she raised the bar. Every project, every detail, every revision—pushing for better, even when it was already great. That kind of mindset is rare. Absolutely incredible to witness again.
And then there’s Josie.
Meeting her for the first time, I quickly realized I didn’t just get one ROCKSTAR—I got two. Together, they were unstoppable. Creative, driven, collaborative—a true force.
And let’s give credit where it’s due.
Josie was the Project Manager on the program’s winning final project team, which led to my invitation to Industry Night. Huge congratulations—that’s no small achievement. I’ve also heard about additional awards of excellence, and it’s well deserved.
At Studio73, we love working with WINNERS—and these two embody exactly that.
We met twice a week, shared ideas, assigned projects—and every single time, they delivered above and beyond. Not just design, but a real understanding of branding, marketing, motion, and storytelling. They don’t just create—they understand the bigger picture.
Even though I didn’t have a massive workload for them, we turned this opportunity into something meaningful—supporting local startups and businesses that truly benefited from their talent. That’s what it’s about. Support is what turns dreams into reality.
And this is just the beginning.
Stay tuned, because I’ll be showcasing their work soon, and it’s seriously impressive. So impressive, in fact, that I’ll be continuing to work with them moving forward.
Win. Win. Win.
Thank you both for bringing your passion, your energy, and your talent into Studio73. I’m beyond grateful.
