I was looking through old photos recently and realized something… there are hardly any photos of me pregnant.

When I was expecting my babies, I always made sure newborn photos were a priority. I never questioned it. But maternity photos? Those always got pushed to the bottom of the list.

I think that’s part of why I love maternity sessions so much now. Pregnancy can feel long when you’re in it, but it’s such a short season of life. Before you know it, your baby is here and that chapter is over.

I have so many beautiful newborn photos of my babies, but very few images that show the journey of carrying them.

So if you’re pregnant and debating whether maternity photos are worth it, from someone who skipped them herself… they are! 💯

Sometimes the best photos come from slowing down and simply looking. Happy Sunday everyone 🌞

In-home or studio sessions will always be beautiful, but outdoor newborn sessions are such a sweet option too!
Especially when there’s a toddler involved. Sometimes the best thing you can do is give them space to run around, play, be loud, hold the baby (for approximately 14 seconds 😆) and keep things feeling natural. Incase you weren’t aware, being a big brother is basically the most exciting job ever!
