Newborns and siblings never go the way you think they’re going to go.

But I have about a dozen tricks up my sleeve to make it happen.

For this session, I usually have baby being held by the oldest sibling, but these two brothers had other plans. The youngest brother was absolutely on his A game, so we swapped them around and went with it.

If I’ve learned anything, it’s that the same sibling who is lovey-dovey with baby one day can show up to the photo shoot with a VERY different agenda.

Every kid handles the transition differently, and my job is to work with what they give me, not force them into something they’re just not feeling.

And I promise to do my best to get their best sides… even if that occasionally involves a little Photoshop magic to get everyone looking like they were perfectly in sync. ♥

Because sometimes the photo you imagined isn’t the photo you end up with.

It’s better.

My oldest child on this journey called this shot “annoying.”
Boy, does it start early.

Hopefully he’ll change his tune, because I fully plan to drag them back here in their graduation gowns for this one.

That’s why it’s SO satisfying when a baby like Naomi comes in and absolutely SLAYS your vision. 🥹

Everything about this session came together so perfectly. The colours, the textures, the little details… just chef’s kiss. 👌🏻
