The “Family” is a group of friends who have known each other and bonded so greatly over the years we now consider ourselves to be members of one family. The members of this “Family” all share one common goal: raising as much money as possible to help find a cure for cancer. As you may have noticed, we are not your average fundraisers or your average family. Although we all come from different back
grounds, and currently reside in multiple cities scattered across western Canada, we all have a few things in common. We all have connections to Kelowna BC, we all love having fun, we all love drinking beer, and most importantly we all share a common hatred for cancer! Unlike most fund raisers who do car washes, BBQ’s, or go door to door, we have a very unique way of raising funds. Every year we all grow the most disgusting Movember moustaches humanly possible. Then on the last Saturday of November we all come together in Kelowna for our annual family photos. During this event we all dress up in a completely ridiculous theme and get our “Family” portraits taken to commemorate our commitment to our common goal, and, of course, to our Mo’s. Currently there are 28 family members, but every year we allow a few worthy individuals to join our ranks!
