Happy Thanksgiving 🦃
I worked a little on two remaining wedding galleries and I delivered Amber & Wayne’s family photos, that you see here!

It was a nice distraction from recent developments.

It’s a long story, so I’ll try to summarize.
I had some amazing experiences the last few months. Surfing, 1000 Island wedding, family friends visiting from other provinces, a clear colorectal cancer origin site (something they said I would never have), and for one whole week, I enjoyed being stable with my lymph nodes!!
Huge steps since my original prognosis.
I’m not out of the woods yet. Unfortunately following some severe back pain, we learned I had a re-occurrence in my spine.
On Friday, I had a huge loss of sensation from my chest down and admitted my self to KGH.
Originally I had a spinal surgery scheduled for later this month, but we are looking to have it done this week.
I’ll update you if anything changes.

Cottages, fall and extended family sessions, are my favourite part of fall 🍃🍂
This one had a wild drive in, with so many hills and turns.
The road in, with all the leaves, was just as pretty of a view, as the dock on the water 🍁

Deandra and Michael’s wedding was incredibly hot! It felt like 40 degrees in that barn sometimes. But it didn’t stop anyone from fully enjoying the dance floor. 🔥☀️💃

This summer was so amazing and yet difficult.
I have dealt with ups and downs, small wins, really bigs wins, and some new pain. The pain has impacted a lot of things, but I am learning to navigate it.

I slowed down this season. I’ve been booking with intention and to be honest, mostly last minute elopements.
I’ve booked a few events for 2026, but with the rollercoaster that has been my health the last year, a summer of small elopements and sessions, fit better for me.

This decision, was hard for me. I love weddings and I worked so hard to get to where l was. I was so worried this decision was going to take away opportunities for me and negatively impact my business.
It didn’t.

Instead it brought different opportunities.

I had time to dive a bit deeper into the cancer community and meet other individuals on their own journeys. I have helped some people with my own story and I’ve been inspired by others as well.
I’ve done sessions for those impacted by cancer too, which is amazing and I feel so honoured.

I went and learned to surf— it was incredibly hard and I had my butt handed to me. I stayed with 14 others, who all had been impacted by cancer as well. I created some close friendships with them and shared an amazing experience.

I got to enjoy my time with my niece who was born in May. No one warned me that having a niece just makes the love you have for your sibling, expand and grow into the purest form. I seriously just want to see her all the time.

I had lots of cottage time and time with my family and friends.
Honestly my cup is very full right now.

Plus, I got to do sessions like the one above.
Going by boat to Bolt castle, and doing a session there. Spending a whole day getting to know Zoe & Ryan, was so fun!
I love adventure and exploring. Plus what Bolt castle represents is so sweet.
I also love being around water. I felt like the whole day grounded me.
Even if we dealt with some wild waves, on the way there 🌊

Just feeling so grateful for my opportunities lately and being able to live the life I have.

Honey & Haybales ✨

Summer has been busy! In the best way. Lots of time with family/friends and being selective on my bookings, has been so fulfilling.

Allan & Annie. We had fun wandering around springside park. From the falls, to the other end of the park. We even had an outfit change.
What’s not pictured? The effort of dodging landmines left by visiting geese 😅😂

Engagement sessions are always sweet. But, when you’ve known the person your whole life, it becomes sweeter. I’m already celebrating the fact that he’s found his person, and to be able to work with him to create art, that creates a permanent symbol of that, is just so special.
