This is a video filmed from August 15, 1995 to August 25, 1995. The video captures mainline railway action from around Southern Ontario at Hyde Park, which is situated west of London where both CN’s Strathroy and CP’s Windsor Subdivisions ran parallel for several miles, plus CP has their Lobo siding situated here. Also, the video captures trains on CP’s Galt Subdivision at Dumfries and Galt, including several colorful consists.

Plus, the CN 15:30 Kitchener Job is filmed heading back from the Budd Plant on the Huron Park Spur with GP9RM 4117 hauling loaded frame cars returning to the Kitchener Yard at Balzer Road. Additionally CN train 421 is documented at Kitchener on CN’s secondary mainline Guelph Subdivision, which runs from Georgetown (Silver) to London, Ontario. The video concludes with several CN trains filmed at famed Bayview Junction in Burlington, Ontario on CN’s Oakville Subdivision, including GO Transit, VIA Rail and Amtrak passenger trains.

CN SD40u 6011, Bessemer & Lake Erie BLE SD40-3 909 and IC SD40-2 6201 are filmed switching another cut of cars to be sorted over the hump at CN’s MacMillan Yard in the city of Vaughan in Toronto, Ontario. The train was filmed from the Melville Avenue overpass near the yard. June 11, 2026.

This is a video filmed from June 25, 1995 to August 6, 1995. The video captures mainline railway action from around Southern Ontario at famed Bayview Junction in Burlington, Ontario on CN’s Oakville Subdivision, as well as trains on CN’s Dundas Subdivision in the town of Paris and area. Also, the video captures trains on CN’s secondary mainline Guelph Subdivision, which runs from Georgetown (Silver) to London, Ontario. That spring, with the new CN tunnel opening in Sarnia, the railway began operating train 395 across the Guelph Subdivision to lift the loaded auto frame cars from Kitchener that were manufactured at the Budd Plant on the Huron Park Spur. This train ran from Montreal to Port Huron, Michigan. With the Sarnia tunnel now open, CN no longer had to float the cars across the St. Clair River on a ferry and they could now travel direct through the tunnel on 395. Also train 421, which operated from CN’s MacMillan Yard in Toronto to London is filmed on the line between Kitchener and New Hamburg. As well, the CN 15:30 Kitchener Job is shown on the Huron Park Spur heading to the Budd Plant with a GP9RM.

Additionally, several colorful trains are filmed on CP’s Galt Subdivision at, Ayr, Wolverton and Blandford. This footage was captured by former CN employee, railfan, videographer, photographer and model railroader Al Wendt and is copyrighted and used with permission.

This is a video filmed from June 1, 1995 to June 20, 1995. The video begins on CN’s Dundas Subdivision in Paris, Ontario where a VIA Rail and CN westbound are filmed from the John Avenue overpass. The footage then shifts to Silver Creek, New York where a Conrail work train is captured. The video continues as both Conrail and parallel Norfolk Southern trains are shown from the Buffalo, New York area at Lakeview crossing, Depew and around Conrail’s Frontier Yard.

The footage then heads back to Canada where CN train 421 is filmed at Baden, Ontario on the CN Guelph Subdivision and then a few CN trains are documented in Paris and then west of town on the Dundas Subdivision. The video concludes with CN train 395 departing Kitchener with two Morrison-Knudsen lease units as it heads to London on the Guelph Subdivision.

This is a video filmed from April 2, 1995 to May 25, 1995. The video captures mainline railway action from Southern Ontario on CN’s Guelph Subdivision, which runs from Georgetown (Silver) to London, Ontario. During this time, with the new CN tunnel opening in Sarnia, the railway began operating train 395 across the Guelph Subdivision to lift the loaded auto frame cars from Kitchener that were manufactured at the Budd Plant on the Huron Park Spur. This train ran from Montreal to Port Huron, Michigan. With the Sarnia tunnel now open, CN no longer had to float the cars across the St. Clair River on a ferry and they could now travel direct through the tunnel on 395. Also train 421, which operated from CN’s MacMillan Yard in Toronto to London is filmed along with several VIA Rail trains. On one evening, 421 is documented taking a new Santa Fe SD75 west after being built and painted. Locations on the line featured are Kitchener, west of Kitchener, Petersburg and Baden.

As well, CN trains are filmed on the Dundas Subdivision, mainly in the town of Paris and at Paris West with various units, including LMS and EMD leasers with Grand Trunk Western, Central Vermont and Conrail power mixed in. Also, some VIA Rail passenger trains are captured as they operate between London and Toronto. Plus, with the new Sarnia tunnel now open, intermodal trains are filmed with double stack cars, which was an operation that didn’t happen prior to the new bore being opened.
