On April 26, CN train 435 departed MacMillan Yard in Vaughan, Ontario with two former EXO F59PH’s, now lettered and renumbered as GOTX 580 and 581 for Toronto commuter agency GO Transit. Both units were still in their EXO colors, which is the public transit system for the Greater Montreal, Quebec area and the operator of their commuter network. Ironically, both F59PH’s were originally sold by GO Transit during 2011 as they were declared surplus and bought by AMT, which was re-named EXO in 2018. They had purchased 10 former GO F59PH’s and eventually refurbished them over several years. Recently, EXO had begun receiving their order of 10 Siemens Charger locomotives with sources indicating that the 10 Chargers would be used to replace its F59PH fleet. Both GOTX 580 and 581 were set-off at Aldershot on the Oakville Subdivision and transported to the Mimico Metrolinx yard for future furtherance. April 26, 2026.
