A Big Happy 10 Year Anniversary Congratulations to my good buddy Richard Boose at Northern Exposures Photography in Elliot Lake, Ontario. If you are familiar with Elliot Lake, go have a look at his amazing work. If you're not familiar, go anyways! You wont be dissapointed! We've had many great years and memories working together in the jewel of the wildeness, as Elliot Lake is known for. A huge success from starting from scratch, to being Elliot Lake/Algoma's most desired photographer! Congratulations buddy! Here's to another 10 successful years at Northern Exposures Photography!

10 year Anniversary this year offering photography services for Elliot Lake and area!
We moved up to Elliot Lake from Windsor back in fall of 2015 with my wife coming ahead of me with the kids to settle in while i wrapped up things down south. At the time i was working as a carpenter for the local 494 carpenters union. I was going to just switch unions and work from sudbury, but i also had some apps on the google play store that were doing really well, so i decided to take a leap of faith and pursue my photography passion instead while the income from the apps helped bridge me into this new direction. I always did shoot photos, i just didn't do it professionally. I use to spend a lot of time down south at ojibway park chasing birds and deer as it was very close to our place in LaSalle.
Early 2016 i started to promote taking photos, and once my buddy Rainy and his family moved up here that spring (also from windsor) me and rainy started shooting together and decided to create Northern Exposures Photography. This page didn't come for another year (2017) as we use to just post on the buzz and a few other groups. We were out everywhere exploring all the hidden gems, and testing the fish bites along the way lol.
Well 10 years later and i am very thankful for all the opportunities and experiences i have had from so many people and entities along this path. Honestly, i could write a book about all the adventures i been on here in Elliot Lake but i think my story is probably better in smaller doses lol. But one thing i did notice here in the past 10 years is half the city is connected to Windsor some how lol. Peterborough, i see you too! I know you got alot of ties to Elliot Lake too lol. But honestly, i think this is Windsor north up here ๐คฃ
As for Rainy, he is still shooting out in Lethbridge Alberta these days. He got some awesome work you all should check out at: Rainy Lalonde Photography
Now, your probably wondering why we decided to move here. Well, look around, who wouldn't want to be up here in the great north, the jewel of the wilderness.
I grew up taking all my vacations up north camping. This was always home to me. Never once did i desire to go to the Caribbean (even though i finally went to cuba last spring lol). I grew up very fond of the north and always desired to be here, so when the opportunity presented itself, there was no looking back. When i was young, my step father had a hunting shop down south outside of Essex called Santarossa Gunsmith. I spent every weekend there learning and appreciating the lifestyle of hunters. We use to go to Michigan every sunday to archery tournaments and hang out with hunters all day long. It was a lifestyle i was accustomed to from a very young age and it helped me appreciate and respect wildlife even more as i got older. So even though i was not born and raised in the north, my heart was already leading the way.
Honestly, i have never felt more at home then i do now and this is a big part of my passion why i promote our city so much. And the people are just wonderful here, such a pleasure to be around everyone of you.
Well, i could ramble on for hours, but i will save that for more one on one conversations with you all as i cross your paths out there :)
Anyways cheers to more years! Thank you everyone for your support and giving me a reason to keep promoting our beautiful town!
