On Sunday evening I had the amazing opportunity to have my work critiqued by one of my favourite photographers, . Myself, along with five other photographers, spent over four hours going over some of our images, receiving feedback on how Nick would approach the composition and editing. The value of the learning and lessons was priceless. Nick intends to run similar sessions to this one in the future so if you want this same opportunity, sign up for his emails and be quick when the invitation arrives. The first one, which I was extraordinarily fortunate to sign up for, sold out in fifteen minutes.
This is one of the images I submitted. The second image is my original edit. I have incorporated the post processing changes he suggested and while subtle, they add new layers of dimension and interest. I look forward to working through the rest of my images, incorporating his teachings.
But perhaps the best part was the community of photographers that developed as a result of this session. I’m looking forward to meeting regularly with my new friends!
