This is the second shot taken during my journey across northern and western Ireland. Towards the end of the trip the weather just went all out on me, and presented four amazing sunrises and sunsets.

In this case I was at the right spot at the right time since I had some mobile reception to check if this location had the right angle for a good composition for the sunrise.

I usually scout extensively beforehand, but lately I have been so busy even the preparation for my trips can suffer.

In this case however my decision making was correct. I scouted the area the day before and knew exactly where to go. The veil of mist above the lake was just icing on the cake as I saw the sun slowly rise above the rocky hills with the deer and other animals calling in the distance. It was quite the experience and one of the reasons why I was absolutely satisfied with the trip.

The strength of the symmetry created by a crystalline reflection balances the elements and levitates the scene, as if it suddenly became light and suspended. The rarity of these images resembles the rarity of those moments when everything seems to be in a state of equilibrium inside us, light, serene and soothed. We constantly strive to find this state, not only on the inside but also on the outside, and scenes like these are essential food for the soul.

Image shot in the unforgettable Braies Lake in the Dolomites Mountains (Italy). Quite a different aesthetic from what's usual in photos of this place (mostly taken during the Summer), as I shot it during November, creating high contrast areas between the snow and the mountain textures, as well as between the green pine trees and golden larches. Shot during a freezing but memorable sunrise!

José Ramos, one of our Ambassadors, had the pleasure of having one of his images, made with the help of his FLM CP30-XL Pro tripod, be featured in a double page spread in the latest edition of National Geographic!

This is a 30 second long exposure of the milky way in Portugal, above an ancient bridge. This type of photos demands a stable tripod for maximum sharpness.
