Row 14: "I'll accept." Bruce Lee stands. 5'7", 140 lbs, street clothes. Michael doesn't recognize him. "You're sure?" "I'm sure."

Judge signals begin. Michael attacks perfect karate techniques. Bruce flows around everything. Like water. Nothing lands. 30 seconds of champion's best combinations. All miss.

Bruce ends it. Steps inside roundhouse kick. Hand stops one inch from Michael's throat. Could have finished him. Fight over. 8 minutes total.

500 people stunned. Champion humiliated. Michael trains with Bruce 2 years after. Learns humility. "Be water."

The day arrogance met reality.

It's essential to keep this in mind: when someone is grieving, showing up is more important than calling. The individuals who make an effort to be present during your most difficult moments are the ones you will always remember.
