A year ago today I shot the wedding of these two sweethearts. Their idea for the wedding portraits was passing at their favourite bubble tea store where they had their first date. Absolutely loved including this in their storytelling ✨

There is a version of a wedding where you spend most of the night circling a room full of people you barely know, making small talk over a dinner that cost more per plate than your first apartment. And then there is the other kind — the kind where the people around you are actually your people, where the food is genuinely good, where someone’s backyard becomes the most beautiful venue you could have chosen. Those two weddings produce very different photographs. And after shooting both, I can tell you exactly why.
