Less than TWO WEEKS until these two get married and I’m already getting emotional about it 🥹🤍

Feels like we were just running through these fields, chasing the last little bit of that sunset light, and now somehow their wedding day is right around the corner. Getting to document this season of their story and now being so close to the next one is just sooo special.

Also, this was officially my last time at this beautiful little spot for the year…

unless one of you decides we need to see what she looks like in the fall 👀 because I would absolutely not be mad about it

On my way back from my itty bitty honeymoon and I figured I’d share a little something with you all because I’ve been slaaaacking 😅

If there’s one thing about me, it’s that I am the sidequest queen and will absolutely book a shoot on the way back from a camping trip 🤭 aka this session right here.

I found this insanelyyyy pretty trail on the way home and Emily & Nick were completely down to explore it for the first time with me. It was hot af, the mosquitoes were relentless, and we were all definitely a little sweaty buuuut somehow we still had the best time 🥹

Thank you Emily & Nick for trusting me yet again, always being down for my ideas, and bearing through the sweat and mosquito bites with me 🫶🏻🤍

I was somehow lucky enough to be invited to M & C’s family cottage AND for them to fully trust me and all of my crazy ideas 🥹 Now if this isn’t the epitome of a summer engagement session, I don’t know what is!

P.S. to those of you trying to convince your partner to take photos with you… just mention that it involves taking the boat and fishing rods out 😉🎣

Documenting an engagement is already so much fun, but when we get to incorporate something you genuinely love doing together, it just makes the whole thing feel that much more you 🤍

Now I'm not going to lie to you all, I was pretty nervous walking into this session. I've gotten so used to directing todlers and younger children that the thought of directing teens was a little intimidating...

Honestly it turned out to be such a fun session and they were all 100% all into my crazy ideas 🤍

Sometimes imposter syndrome has a funny way of convincing you that you don’t know what you’re doing, even when you’ve done this a hundred times before. Then you get sessions like this one that remind you to trust yourself, trust the process, and just have fun with it.

I walked in nervous and walked away feeling so dang proud of what we created together 🥹

Y’all have no clue how long I’ve been wanting to share more from Jordanna & Jake's wedding day. 🤍

Their full gallery just went home, so obviously the first thing I’m doing after giving them a little time to look through it is POSTING THIS.

This day was truly so special. I’ve gotten to know these two over what feels like forever, which honestly made this day even more emotional. And don’t even get me started on their private vows… I absolutely bawled my eyes out.

To finally be here, celebrating them with all of the people they love most, was just the coolest feeling. There really aren’t words.

If this year has taught me anything, it’s that it’s okay to put a little bit of the professionalism aside sometimes. Getting to know my couples on a friendship level gives me such a different perspective when I’m documenting their day. I know the little stories, the little inside jokes, the moments that mean more than they seem. It helps me capture things I probably wouldn’t have otherwise.

And every once in a while… those client relationships turn into some of the best friendships.

Another reason why I love what I do. I get to meet the most incredible people, document some of the biggest days of their lives, and somehow walk away with friends too. I really don’t think there’s anything better than that. 🤍
