There are no words to express how excited I was to do this engagement shoot for these two very special people. Jake and Carley just exude love and as our photoshoot went on they completely fell into their own world. My goal as a photographer is for you to forget I’m there so I can capture those authentic in between moments. Can’t wait for you two to tie the knot!

Sunday morning is all about coffee in bed while editing this beautiful couple's special day. Kristen and Joel celebrated their love last weekend with 204 of their closest friends and family, and my dad and I were lucky enough to be among them. The entire day was easy - no stress, no anxiousness but just the undeniable fact that God had meant for these two to end up together.

Dragging my dad along as my assistant for the day was full circle. He taught me everything I know and now that he's retired, I'm putting him to work with . So great to be behind the lens beside him again.

Now...back to editing!

When trying to capture someone's personality, their very being, I try not to limit myself to only photographing their face. In this shoot with my grandmother, I was able pinpoint the little things that reminded me, and the rest of my family, of her. Her glasses on the novel she has read a million times is just as telling of her story as the wrinkles on her face.
