Rome has a bit of a time-management problem. 😂

Ancient ruins, Renaissance domes, weathered stone, spring blossoms... somehow a couple thousand years of history all end up sharing the same view.

I’ve been giving my Rome collection some attention lately — adding photographs, refining the collection and deciding which images best tell the story of a city where one century seems to simply pile itself on top of another.

These are five of my favorites from the collection.

And while I’m always happy when someone simply enjoys seeing my photographs, there’s another part of Wendi’s World Photography that I probably don’t talk about enough: these photographs are created as fine art for your walls, with options for prints, canvas, metal, acrylic and custom framing.

So yes, I wander around beautiful places taking far too many photographs... but eventually I do expect some of them to grow up and live on walls. 😂

The Amalfi Coast collection has been getting a little extra love lately. 🇮🇹

I’ve added some new photographs, moved a few things around, and stared at all of them for far longer than any normal person probably should.

So now it’s your turn. 😂

I numbered six of them for you.

Which one would you put on your wall — 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6?

And before everyone suddenly becomes very quiet because you think I’m trying to make you buy something...you do NOT have to buy a photograph. 😂 I genuinely want to know which one you’d choose.

One thing I’m not sure everyone realizes is that these aren't just travel photos I post because I like them. Wendi’s World Photography is my fine-art photography business, and these photographs are available as wall art — including custom-framed pieces made to suit the space where they’ll actually live.

So forget about my favorite for a minute.

There are certain things a photographer probably shouldn’t do.

Apparently, zooming in on Norwegian folklore is one of them.

At Kjosfossen, music began playing through the mist and a mysterious figure in a flowing red dress appeared beside the waterfall.

The Huldra.

A legendary creature from Norwegian folklore.

It was atmospheric. It was enchanting. It was one of those wonderfully unexpected travel moments that makes you forget everything else for a while.

Naturally, I photographed it.

And later...

I zoomed in.

That was my mistake. 😂

Believe in the Huldra.

Take the photograph.

Just don't zoom in.

Some mysteries deserve a fighting chance.

Norway has officially arrived.

Twenty-eight photographs from one of the most breathtaking places I have ever experienced are now together in a new Norway collection at Wendi’s World Photography.

Norway has a rather effective way of making everything else feel small. Mountains rise straight out of the water, waterfalls seem to appear wherever gravity can find an opening, tiny villages settle quietly beneath enormous fjords—and occasionally a puffin shows up to make sure things don’t get too serious.

These six are just a glimpse of the full collection.

From mist-covered fjords and thundering waterfalls to colourful shorelines, wildlife and landscapes so vast they seem to rearrange your sense of scale, Norway was one of those places I knew photographs could never completely capture.

Naturally, I took a ridiculous number of them anyway. 😂

There are places that reveal themselves slowly—and others that seem determined to show you everything at once.

South Africa's Western Cape was a little like that.

Mountain landscapes glowing in beautiful light. Fishing boats gathered along the coast. Penguins launching themselves into the sea. Lions, zebras and elephants reminding me that sometimes the most memorable travel companions don't say very much at all.

Today I'm delighted to share the Western Cape Collection from Wendi's World Photography.

This collection brings together 25 photographs from a region filled with remarkable contrasts -- from rugged landscapes and quiet coastal scenes to wildlife encounters that ranged from majestic to wonderfully entertaining.

What I love most about this collection is that no single photograph could tell the whole story. Together, they capture some of the beauty, personality and sense of discovery that made the Western Cape such an unforgettable place to photograph.

Something I've been quietly working on is finally ready to share. 📷

Wendi's World Photography has had a bit of a transformation.

What began years ago as a place to share some of the photographs I've taken while travelling has gradually become something much more meaningful to me—a curated collection of places, moments and stories I've carried home from around the world.

Over the past little while, I've been going back through thousands of photographs. And I do mean thousands. Apparently Past Wendi believed storage was unlimited and restraint was for other people. 😂

But somewhere in all that sorting, editing and remembering, I began seeing the photographs differently.

They weren't simply records of places I'd visited.

They were stories.

A castle I wasn't quite ready to leave.
A quiet garden.
Light finding its way across a hillside.
An old street that made me wonder who had walked there before me.
Moments I had nearly forgotten until a photograph brought them back.

And that's what I want Wendi's World Photography to be about.

Fine-art travel photography celebrating beautiful places, quiet moments and the stories we carry home.

The new gallery is now live, with curated collections, fine-art prints and a new journal where I'll be sharing some of the stories behind the photographs.

There is still a lot more to come. My photography archive is currently sitting in the corner looking at me with the confidence of something that knows it contains several thousand files. 😳

But this feels like the right place to begin.
