Hey! It’s me (and a very old photo of me) I have a little life update to share! Except it’s not that little, oops😳

Without going into the full backstory… I’m moving! Yup, you read that right, I am leaving the Okanagan🥺

I have loved every moment of being an Okanagan girl, born and raised and capturing the most beautiful parts of so many lives here has been the sweetest treat! But there’s more calling to me and my family elsewhere. So as part of that, I have decided to go to school for something new and exciting!

Like everything in life, things must come to an end and I have absolutely NO IDEA what this all means for my photography endeavours and I’m honestly so at peace with that right now. Maybe I’ll keep working at it after moving but I just don’t know. All things point to staying behind the camera but we will just have to wait and see

Truth is, I’ve struggled to stay in touch with my creativity and it’s so hard to hold space for that energy when you’re fighting to make your own space in such an overly saturated industry, especially in the Okanagan. It’s become so much more than capturing photos and that is equally beautiful as it is challenging.

I have made so many amazing connections and have loved working with so many other extremely talented photographers and hope to see more opportunities to connect with each of you in the future!

This isn’t a goodbye, but it does mean change is coming and I’m just as unsure of what that looks like as you all are so join me on this next adventure! And please, know that I’m so grateful to everyone here who has entrusted me to capture their lives and those who hired me to work beside them to offer the best experiences possible to their clients.

Love getting to learn and figure out how product looks for local business in a way less traditional than white backdrops and perfectly smoothed photos. Always fun to play around and get creative in ways I’m not used to (or even necessarily skilled in)

I always try to get a few photos of just mom and dad when I take on the odd family session, granted it doesn’t always end up happening.

It’s always special to get a few solo parent shots amongst the beautiful family photos we are here for :)

Recently I’ve been playing around with my editing style a lot.

Maybe you’ve noticed, maybe not…

I’m always trying to be the best version of me so I can show up and do my ABSOLUTE best for the people that I’m al lucky enough to have trust me to capture their memories!
