I'm a photographer who has often struggled to find a photographer for my own child. Every session started and ended in stress - for him, for me, for everyone involved. So I built the session I always needed.
Some kids need a minute.
Actually, they need several. They need to check out the camera before anyone points it at them. They need to know where the bathroom is and whether there'll be loud sounds and what happens if they need a break. They need to feel safe before they feel seen.
"This is Childhood" sessions are built around that kid. Yours, and Mine.
Up to 60 minutes at whatever pace feels right - no rushing, no countdown, no pressure to perform. We follow their lead. We let them warm up. We wait for the real moments instead of manufacturing fake ones. And when they happen - and they always do - that's when I pick up the camera.
This session was designed for children who are sensitive, shy, neurodivergent, or just not the kind of kid who performs on cue. Which, honestly, makes for the most beautiful photos of all.
