How has it almost been 3 years already since I attended this wonderful workshop hosted by the one and only !? 🥹✨ I still carry so many lessons from it and would browse galleries of the beautiful moments captured. This workshop also marked the beginning of my journey as a full time photographer and so these few days surrounded by talented photographers and vendors will forever be dear and near to my heart. ☺️✨📸

Mary & Mike’s wedding day was INCREDIBLE! ✨ I was there for 11 hours and wanted to stay even longer because of all the LOVE, JOY, IMPECCABLE EX*****ON, and WONDERFUL VENDORS. 🥹✨ I was also provided with space and time for creativity - hello huge gallery! - and also quiet moments to refuel. As a wedding photographer, I took many many many notes and inspiration to share with my future couples when they ask for wedding planning advice. 💛

Seasonal Mini Sessions are officially back for 2026!

Each year I plan a full calendar of seasonal sessions around Ottawa, from spring blossoms to golden summer evenings, colourful fall portraits, and cozy winter sessions. And today, you get a glimpse into a full 2026 lineup. 

The first seasonal session of the year - Timeless Studio Portraits - will open to the email list later this week! If you like planning ahead, make sure you’re on the email list so you receive early access before Instagram announcements. :)

a fly on a wall - never thought that will be a part of my résumé. and I’m very proud of it. 🥹 my love for wedding photography is not linear. we have ups and downs. moments when I think that’s all I’ll ever do and days when it’s really hard. when the dust settles, I look at these beautiful moments I was invited to be a part of and I never take it for granted. my art is forever evolving, my approach is shifting, and I’m not the same wedding photographer I was even a year ago, but I do remember and cherish every single wedding I’ve ever documented. not every day. not all at once. but every single celebration and couple has given or taught me something precious. and it shows up in my life over and over again when I most need it. photography, for me, goes way beyond than simply a business transaction. it’s a part of my heart. 💛✨

🥹 Back in December, I had the opportunity to meet Kristen and her wonderful family. She reached out to capture family portraits for the “Neighbours of Manotick” January issue. One particular task was to create the perfect cover image.

THE COVER!! WhaAAAAaaat!!???? And I think we nailed it! I might have eaten a few confetti pieces as a result, but it was worth it. It has that “HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!” feeling all over it!🎇

I’m so proud of this project and I am inspired by Kristen, her business and how she’s been supporting and bringing the community together for years. Definitely check out the in Manotick, visit and sign up for one of the upcoming events/classes. With wellbeing, creativity and community in mind - it’s a space I would like to be in often. 🙌

Upcoming Black Friday Sale launch (mark your calendar for Nov. 28th!!) goes hand in hand with planning my seasonal mini sessions for the upcoming year. And every time when I start sketching out next year’s sessions, it feels like I’m planning a year of tiny family traditions again, not just “photo days.”

Because when I look at my past galleries, I often see the same families, year after year. Kiddos who went from being carried to insisting on standing on their own rock. Parents who showed up tired and still laughed their way through 15 minutes of (sometimes) chaos. :)

I never think how can I squeeze as many clients as possible into one day? Beyond updated photos, I want my clients to also have a great experience.
How can this feel calm, not chaotic? How can kids actually have fun? How can parents walk away saying, “That was… shockingly easy”?

Scroll through the post to see what 2026 is shaping up to look like. And you can trust that next year I will be bringing the same Ina energy again! Clear communication, prep guides, kid-friendly prompts, no stiff posing, and most importantly no pressure to be a “perfect” family (or a couple!!) for the camera.

Also, I know a mini isn’t always enough. Sometimes 15 minutes can’t hold everything you’re feeling about this season. That’s when a Signature Session Experience makes more sense than a mini. It’s longer, slower, more intentional. We build around your life, not a time slot.

Think of it like this, mini sessions are your yearly family adventure, with more traditional and timeless portraits, whereas a signature session are your “this chapter matters too much to rush” session with added creativity, in depth storytelling, and a gallery that’s unique to you. ✨
