In a victory for photographer rights, a New York court awarded Daniel Morel $1.2 million after finding two photo agencies improperly used his photos of Haiti’s earthquake.

I had the opportunity to photograph this wedding with Erin Petruska Photography over the weekend. An interesting wedding venue location at the Mayfair Theatre in Ottawa. Wishing Tina and Curtis a wonderful marriage!

All packed up too for the East Indian Ollywood photo shoot I organized with my friend Amar Auluck from Amar Auluck Photography. Looking forward to spending the day with Chelsi B, Saman Tayari, Francko Edge, Pamela Louie, Jaime Paquette, Judith Angelle Modella, Poonam and accompanying photographers Bruno Parent, Monique Routhier, and Sue. And my friend Jay Roblee who will be putting together a video for me. Big thanks to everyone!! Can't wait to start taking photos!

The sun in setting fast these days so you have to work quickly with available light. Regardless, this turned out to be a fun shoot with Krystel Barnes Bélisle.

The best time of day for a photo shoot is at dusk. The light from the sun isn't too harsh and a beautiful glow of light is set for the background. The shoot took place at two of my favourite locations in Ottawa - Remic Rapids and Hog's Back Falls.
