Happy Mother’s Day to everyone who mothers in some way. I know so many people who quietly and consistently show up with care, patience, encouragement, thought for the little and the big things, and the kind of love that keeps people going. I feel incredibly lucky for the support I’ve received on my own journey as a mother, and I’m also holding space for anyone who finds a day like this heavy, complicated, or painful.

Mothering is a verb, built in a thousand everyday moments, and the care we celebrate today deserves to be seen and valued all year long. ❤

Please enjoy and tag people you see so they can check it out!

It takes a huge amount of work and vision to create a positive and safe space like this - huge shout out to Arcari and all of the sponsors and volunteers who made this event happen.

To be fair, for this to be totally accurate I would need to find a clip of someone singing along to musical theatre or 90's/2000's alt/rock/pop. Please don't come at me, swifties. ❤️🤣

But I definitely have a tendency to lock in and lose track of time when I am going through all the moments I catch when photographing. This is what's going on behind the scenes while you wait for your preview!

When you trust me to take your photos, here’s who shows up with a camera. A person who has always been unafraid to jump in but still notices the little things, is endlessly curious about people's stories, and is comfortable with your chaos, quiet, and everything in between.

You don’t have to perform, pose, or suddenly become a different version of yourself. All you have to do is live your life and I'll capture it. Your real life is so full of moments that deserve to be remembered exactly as they are.

How can you possibly sum up a day full of stories, connection and community in a small amount of photos? (spoiler alert - you can't. Longer preview coming soon.) Having said that, I have tried my best to give a sneak peek that captures the incredible energy that Tiffany Arcari created with the International Women's Day Show today at the Venue. Thank you to everyone who worked to put on an incredible event. It was both an honour and the most fun ever to capture this day!

I was at a table this past weekend where numerous women reminded each other to share their accomplishments and cheered each other on, and it was full of so much positive energy. So now, only about two months too late, I am posting this exciting news. I was named the top family documentary photographer in Canada by This is Reportage Family for 2025, and tied for the top storyteller spot!

I'm also very proud to say I was listed in the top 20 in the world by Inspiration Family Photographers and made the top 100 list for Fearless Family Photographers. Year end wrap ups still count as long as you post them before daylight savings begins, right? I'm very lucky to love what I do and very grateful that I get to keep doing it.

Very happy to share a longer preview of the amazing performances at Peterboroughs Got Talent 2026. This year's event was in support of Peterborough Regional Health Centre Foundation and spearheaded by Patti Clancy. All the performers did a fantastic job and it was a pleasure to see Tiffany Arcari do her thing as MC alongside judges Jason Wilkins, Sarah Evans, Dani Guppy and guest David Goyette Media. Supported by Porter Sound, stage management by Caryn Lynn, as well as all the effort and energy from volunteers at Showplace Performance Centre.

What an amazing evening! I had a fantastic time photographing the 2026 edition of Peterboroughs Got Talent, hosted at Showplace Performance Centre in support of Peterborough Regional Health Centre Foundation, spearheaded by Patti Clancy.

14 incredible performers (plus a bonus performance at intermission from last year's winner! The judges had an impossible task in choosing winners, but Sarah Evans, Jason Wilkins, Dani Guppy, and guest David Goyette Media all did an amazing job giving feedback and cheering them on.

And, of course, NO ONE hosts an event like Tiffany Arcari. Keeping the energy positive and the crowd engaged like the pro she is! Finally, an event like isn't possible without behind the scenes help from people like Showplace volunteer team, stage management from Caryn Lynn and Porter Sound.

This is just a preview (and believe me, it was hard to narrow down which photos to start with) - there are more images to come! Feel free to tag yourself if you were a participant, and please follow me to see more soon!
