“You’re the sun to me…” 🌻🤍

There’s something about a sunflower field that already feels like summer romance — and then Bragg Farms adds all the little details that make a session feel like a whole story.

The vintage wagon.
The white garden doors tucked between the sunflowers.
And that bathtub in the middle of the field?! 🛁🌻 Easily one of my favourite props to photograph.

These two made every little corner of the farm their own — from sweet, playful moments to the kind of photos that feel like nobody else is around.

If you’re planning a couples or engagement session, don’t underestimate a location with props and different little setups. They give us so much room to play, move, interact and create a gallery that feels completely different from one photo to the next.

If there was one thing that defined Sabrina & John’s cocktail hour, it was the hugs. Everywhere you looked, there were arms wrapped around one another, smiles that reached their eyes, and the kind of embraces that only happen when everyone is celebrating something truly special.

These weren’t just greetings—they were congratulations, happy tears, years of friendship, family reunited, and so much love for two people beginning their forever.

Some of the most meaningful moments happen between the “big moments,” and this cocktail hour was overflowing with them.

Reception photos deserve so much more love. 🤍

Almost every couple tells me, “We don’t really need many reception photos.” But by the time the gallery is delivered, they’re some of the images people come back to again and again.

Because this is where your wedding stops being a timeline… and starts becoming memories.

It’s your grandma laughing across the table.
Your best friends sneaking away to play games.
Your niece colouring quietly during dinner.
Your guests kicking off their shoes to explore the river.
The hugs you didn’t see.
The tears you didn’t expect.
The way your people looked at you when you weren’t looking.

These aren’t just “reception photos.”

They’re the story of everyone who came together to celebrate your marriage.

Years from now, the décor will fade from memory. The timeline will blur. But these little, ordinary, beautifully imperfect moments? Those become priceless.

The sweetest first look 🤍

A first look is a private moment before the ceremony where the couple sees each other for the very first time—just the two of them (and your photographer quietly capturing it all from a distance).

It’s one of my favourite modern wedding traditions because it gives you a chance to slow down, take a deep breath, and truly be present together before the excitement of the day takes over. The nerves melt away, the emotions are real, and you get a few uninterrupted minutes to laugh, cry, hug, and remind each other what the day is really about.

And from a practical standpoint? It also means you’ll get many of your portraits done before the ceremony, leaving you with more time to celebrate with your family and guests during cocktail hour instead of spending it taking photos.

If you’re on the fence, this is your sign to consider one. Some of the most genuine, emotional moments I’ve ever photographed have happened during a first look—and they never fail to become some of my couples’ favourite memories of the day.

One of the unique traditions at RiverStone on the Crowe is celebrating with a champagne toast immediately after signing the registry. Such a fun way to begin the celebration—and one of my favourite moments to photograph.
