“It's been 100 years since WWI ended and Canada was forever changed.”
Today a tightly packed crowd has gathered at the cenotaph in Bonsor Park for the Remembrance Day ceremony, marking 100 years since the signing of the armistice that ended the First World War.
Everyone paused in a moment of silence to honour veterans and war dead who gave their lives and their future so that we may live in peace.
“At the very least, we owe them a promise to remember the human costs of war and never repeat the mistakes that led to armed conflict.” Lest we forget.
