Descents and off cambers 🔥

This race completely slipped my radar last year, so there was no way I would miss it this time. Glad I made it. Lodged between the North Shore mountains, the fall colours were in full bloom and clouds were dramatic. Some crazy descents and off cambers made for a tricky course. Great race and great day. Unfortunately that marks the end of the cyclocross season here in the lower mainland for me. Next up are some track events! Looking forward to getting back to the boards. Another edition of Pumpkin Cross in the books! Thankfully this year, no flooding to put half the course under water. People brought fun and creative costumes, racing was exciting and cookie medals were dealt out. I really like the colours on course, both the riders and the background. Lots of pop! One more race in the LMCX series, and possibly will be suiting up for that. Check the link in the bio for race photos!

I'm continuing the trend and making some reels. Thought this was a fun one I saw another sports photographer do, and it was great to dive into my hard drives and see the work I've done the last two years. What do you think of my work? Any areas I can improve on?

Rain, mud, sun and good vibes. Junkyard CX really had all the conditions for a proper cross race. Shooting in the rain is always difficult and had the role of getting photos of everyone, so little less room for creativity, but a cool course made this fun to shoot. 5000 images shot and about 5-6hrs of editing, everything is up and FREE to download thanks to . Good job to everyone who raced in the terrible morning conditions! A little more video this time. What do you all think? Next up is Pumpkin Cross 🎃

ALDERGROVE CX! Dry and sunny conditions to kick off the cyclocross season here in the lower mainland of BC. With Vanier cancelled, this was a leg sapping test to start on. Steep climbs, long straight sections with strong winds, and a tricky sand pit. Great work by the for putting it together! This time I put on a race number and competed in the intermediate race in the morning. It helped me get an idea of where I wanted to shoot but also took energy out of the legs to run around. I tried to get as creative as I could without crushing my legs 🥲 Did a little video too to show the fun in the sand. What do you all think?

Waiting to finally get back to capturing cyclocross, I dipped waaaaay back into my drives, going back to 2019. I recently had moved to BC from Ontario and only had a 35mm prime lens for my Fujifilm camera. It's a cool exercise to only work with one lens and the limitations it can have. All things considered, I think I did well. Super fun to see these faces from over 6 years ago! So stoked to get back at it 🔥

A few more photos to get pumped up for cyclocross! These were from the LMCX Finale. I raced in this one. Hoping to learn and develop my skills on the bike this year to improve my placements. Looking forward to it!

CROSS IS COMING! Just an appreciation post for the fun races that are coming up in a few weeks. I'm going to miss Vanier CX unfortunately but still excited for the cyclocross season to begin.
