It's Cruise Night tonight, and every Friday in summer, with the Port Stanley Lions Club in the Mackie's parking lot. Head down to the beach for a stroll, grab some famous fries or head to dinner and drinks at GTs On The Beach then check out all the fun! Enjoy a unique and beautiful Port Stanley tour with Port Stanley Rickshaw and RIDE FOR A CAUSE! this weekend at the Port Stanley Fire Hall Market. This Saturday, June 13th, bring a non-perishable food donation to The Hydrant Pub (or cash donation to your rickshaw driver) to help keep our Port Stanley & Area Community Cupboard shelves stocked. I'm honoured to be a part of this new show featuring Port Stanley artists with Port Stanley inspired work. Head to the beautiful and historic The Windjammer Inn tomorrow night for a Summer Art Showcase Gala Gathering. Enjoy an evening of local art, creative cocktails and delicious nibbles from chef Kim. You'll find great Port Stanley vibes and a portion of the proceeds will go to support the wonderful work of Fur-Ever Wild Rehabilitation. Tickets will be available at the door.

And just like that... beach days are here! The water must be still a bit chilly but many families were enjoying it at Little Beach today and parking still available this afternoon. A lovely quieter option for time at the beach and perfect for the little ones as it stays shallow for a good distance. No matter your 'beach style', Port Stanley has an option for you to enjoy!

What spectacular weather for our first holiday Monday of the 'summertime'... Happy Victoria Day! We're so glad so many of you were able to get down to enjoy some time at the lake. Here are a few scenes from mid-morning before the town got super-duper busy. If crowds aren't your thing, try a visit during the week to discover all that Port Stanley has to offer - it can be idyllic!

Whether you're a bird watcher or not there is certainly something magical about our feathered friends this time of year. On the migration path for so many wonderful visitors, the early morning is an absolute symphony. The Rose-Breasted Grosbeak is one of the beauties that passes through and you'd easily be forgiven for not knowing that this is the female and male version of the species. Quite the difference!

With the first long weekend of the summer coming up it's a great time for me to revisit some of my long overdue photo sorting projects. Photographing bands is one of my favourite things, and Port Stanley certainly provides a lot of great opportunities in the warmer weather. Such fun!
