Counting down the days until I’m back in the North. These aerial views of Sandy Bay always remind me of the quiet strength found in our communities.

Sandy Bay sits just about 70km from Pelican Narrows, and my thoughts are with our neighbors there tonight. I'm looking forward to being back on the ground in less than a week. Sending extra care to the frontline workers and families navigating this—stay safe and look out for one another!

Tonight is the absolute final countdown.

When I pull up to work tonight, it's total clean-out mode. Cancelling the gym, cutting the parking pass, and emptying the locker before I clock in for the absolute last night shift in the Regina PACU. When morning hits, this chapter is done, period.

This "tiny planet" shot pretty much sums up the headspace right now—standing on a spinning world right on the edge of a massive shift. The living room back home is already a beautiful disaster of logistics, piled high with donated shoes, shirts, and gear prepped and ready to head up north.

Taking a quick breather with a road trip to Calgary this weekend to clear the head, and then it’s full steam ahead.

Regina PACU, let’s do this one last time. ☕🌌

The gear pile is officially growing. We’ve got new shoes, a few phones, and I’m picking up a load of pickleball rackets from the ranch later this week.

To everyone who’s reached out to help: I see you, and so does the community. We’re getting closer to having everything we need to hit the ground running when I get to Sandy Bay on June 8th.

Still have room for a bit more if you’ve got gear sitting around. Let’s keep the momentum going—I’d rather have too much than not enough. Hit me up if you’ve got something to contribute.

My life behind the lens is dedicated to capturing the beauty of the North, but my life in the clinic is dedicated to serving the people who call it home.

Many of you know that my work in Northern Saskatchewan goes beyond photography. Today, I’m sharing an update from the Sandy Bay health clinic regarding a project that is very close to my heart. We’ve successfully secured the funding to bring life-saving emergency technology to our community, ensuring that our patients receive the standard of care they deserve.

It’s a different kind of "capturing a moment"—this time, it’s about making sure our community has the tools they need to stay safe. Thank you to everyone who supports my journey, both in photography and in health.

The perfect Northern Saskatchewan setup: One very hot fire, one freezing camera, and a front-row seat to the best show on Earth. 🌌✨

I’ll be the first to admit it—I'm usually terrible at actually keeping track of the specific dates and times I shot these things when I finally get around to posting them. 🤫 I just wrote a quick article about exactly why that happens and how the whole workflow goes down behind the scenes.

You’ll rarely see me post an active aurora "forecast" here on my main business page, but if you track me down in the local photography groups, you'll definitely catch me dropping them there.

Look, not everyone is going to see the world the way you do, and honestly? That’s completely fine. If everyone thought the same, nothing would ever change.

Back in Sandy Bay looking at views like this. It’s a good reminder that when things get loud or people don't get the vision, you just keep moving. Stand your ground, never give up, and keep advocating for the ones who don't have a voice to do it themselves.

SaskTel said no, so let's do it ourselves. 📱

I reached out to SaskTel asking for a donation of used, retired smartphones to use as digital cameras for our Therapeutic Photography youth program in Sandy Bay.

Due to corporate red tape, they turned us down.
If a giant corporation won't help northern youth mental health with leftover tech, let’s show them how Saskatchewan communities handle it.

Do you have an old, working smartphone sitting in a drawer? Drop me a DM. Let’s bypass the bureaucracy and get these kids the tools they deserve. 👊
