Hey friends! 👋 I'm Lu, but you can call me Marie – the heart and soul behind eyeBrandit Photography! 📸🌟 Let me take you on a quick journey through my story. 🌈
Originally a Mexican, but my love story with Canada began in 2014. Fast forward, I'm now proudly rocking two citizenships! 🇲🇽❤️🇨🇦
Back in 2008, I dove into the world of Graphic Design at university. First year struggles in photography class? Oh, absolutely! 🤷♀️ Calculating ISO, speed, and diaphragm had me scratching my head. So, I became a photography assistant, hoping to crack the code. Spoiler: I did and fell head over heels for it! 🤓📷
Spent 4 amazing years at Moroni Staff studio in Mexico, mastering the art of light – both natural and artificial. Thousands of pictures edited and countless events later, I was hooked. 🎨✨
Life took me on a detour to explore Canada in 2014, but photography stuck like a loyal sidekick. Went back to college, finished my Graphic Design degree, and dipped my toes in sports photography – a wild ride! 🏊♀️📸
Now, after kickstarting iBrandit digital in 2021 (hello, online graphic design studio!), the photography bug bit again. I couldn't resist. Enter eyeBrandit – my passion project capturing frozen moments and human emotions. 😊❤️ So here I am, a bit rusty but bursting with the same enthusiasm from my first photography class in '08.
And in the midst of all these adventures, you'll often find me channeling my inner cowgirl! 🤠🐴 When I'm not behind the lens or glued to the editing screen, I'm hanging out with my friend Nancy and her horsies. 🌿🐎 Helping out and soaking up the therapeutic vibes that only horses can provide. Life's a journey, and I'm embracing every moment, one snapshot and horsie hug at a time! 📸💕
