Hello IGers! Just a note to let you know that we will be on hiatus indefinitely. There’s been a lot going on in the world in the last year+ and we’re all a little physically and mentally tired, so we’ve decided to take a break. Evening!

This week's photo comes from , with a nice spring scene from Saint Martins. I'm not sure exactly what flowers these are (glory-of-the-snow?), but they make a lovely blue carpet in front of this moss-covered stone fence. Lots now to find for wildflowers and otherwise, which is always a welcome sign of spring!

Hi everyone, I hope you’ve all been having a good week. Maryanne’s photo checks off a number of boxes in my opinion. Capturing a set of waterfalls that’s off the beaten path using a long exposure is pretty much a slam dunk in my opinion! Congratulations for the photo of the week!

Morning!

This week's photo comes from , with a great long exposure of the tidal creek in Duck Pond Cove (the not-so-best-kept-secret of the Gardner Creek area). It's a very picturesque setting just outside Saint John with an expansive beach and numerous sandstone rock formations (much like PEI). I've been there many times, though from this angle, is almost unrecognizable. Interesting to see here how the water has eroded this rock into an impressive-looking gorge!

Hi everyone. Rika managed to catch an awesome night photo of the outside of the City Market from a different perspective. The composition, clarity and detail are all spot on. Evening!

This week's photo comes from , with a colourful shot of a nice haul of seaglass, including a coveted red piece! We're lucky to have many beaches around Saint John that are great for picking. Lots to be found now that the glass-polishing winter storms have passed and with beach walks increasingly pleasant.

Hi everyone. I don’t think I’m alone when I say I’m loving that our days are getting longer. Hopefully, consistently warmer temperatures are coming soon as well. shared some great sunrise images from the Irving Nature Park and they have been chosen as the photos of the week. I can almost feel the warmth of the morning sun from them! Congratulations and thanks very much for sharing with us!

Good morning fellow IG’ers! Happy Thursday. I’ve not had much chance over the last week to get out with my camera so it’s always nice scrolling through all your tagged photos to see around the city. I loved this one from from inside the City Market. Our is a real treasure and we’re so lucky to have it. I think about all the vendors who have been there for years and some of the newer ones being brave and opening up during a pandemic. Shopping in our City Market is a great way to support local. Mornin',

This week's photo comes from , with a nice shot of the moonrise over the Uptown Saint John skyline. Great contrast here in the cool moonlight and the warmer streetlight, and between the blue hour sky and residual twilight reflected on the windows. It's nice with the daylight hours now stretching out, with the early evenings seeming a little more accessible following the day's work. With the temperatures moderating next week, and time change soon upon us, the spring is surely not too far off!

Hi everyone! Let’s be honest, Saint John and surrounding area is a pretty great place to explore, so get out there and enjoy what we have!
